Matilda “Til” Dunn Adams was born February 10, 1949, in a cabin on Cherry Orchard Branch of Cow Creek, Kentucky.
Til was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Mary Louise Dunn and one sister, Kathleen D. Burton.
Til is survived by one brother, JR Dunn and his wife Karen C. Dunn of Wellington, Kentucky.
Til married Steven K. Adams on August 23, 1969. Steve and Til resides in Lexington, Kentucky. They have lived in six different states and enjoyed traveling and exploring each area.
Til graduated from Morehead State University in 1970 with a teaching degree to teach in three different states. She taught mainly the second grade and would cry at the end of the school year because she “lost her little people”.
Til was a housewife and homemaker and loved to crochet and knit. She loved to play golf and was good at it. She would even beat her husband at times and would post the scorecards on the refrigerator to remind him.
She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her or met her.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, September 12, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Floyd Arnett and Dustin Elkins officiating. Burial followed in the Patrick-Lovely Cemetery at Johnson Fork, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
