SALYERSVILLE – An Ohio man was indicted by a Magoffin County grand jury last week, alleging sexual abuse of a minor over a five-year period.
On October 21, 2021, the grand jury indicted Kernie D. Gipson, 42, of Wilmington, OH, on a charge of first-degree rape, victim under 12 years of age, which is a Class A felony. According to the indictment, on or about January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2014, in Magoffin County, Gipson allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion against an individual under 12 years old.
A warrant was issued for Gipson’s arrest, however, he is currently in custody at the Clinton County Jail, in Ohio, where he has been held since September 4 this year.
