Phyllis Patrick Marshall, age 94, a resident of Bellows Drive in Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Salyersville Health Care Center in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Phyllis was born June 27, 1929, in McGuffey, Ohio, the daughter of the late Johnie and Dora Shepherd Patrick. She is also preceded in death by Husband, Astor Marshall; son, Danny Marshall; daughters, Carol Sue Marshall, and Melody Salyer, step-son Challie Bailey; granddaughters Andrea Mench, and Jan Monique Marshall, as well as seven brothers, Sam Patrick, Robert Patrick, Roy Patrick, Frank Patrick, Ollie Patrick, Walter Patrick and Ray Patrick, and six sisters, Joy Mullins, Lena Harbor, Ruth Sebrie, Laverne Broker, Erma Hoover and Prudie Patrick.
She was employed as a postmaster until her retirement. Phyllis was a devoted member of her family and a loving friend.
Those left to mourn include daughters Linda & Dutch Daisy of Indiana, Bonnie & Lester Puckett of Salyersville, Kentucky, Donna & Carl Wireman of Royalton, Kentucky; step-children, Shirley Howard of Stockbridge, Michigan; Charlotte Wilson of Chillicothe, Ohio; Clinton Bailey of Royalton, Kentucky; sister, Joann Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services Phyllis Marshall will be conducted Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Joe Carroll, Greg Minix, and Doug Auxier will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Mullins Family Cemetery on Walter Wireman Road in Royalton, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Thursday, December 14, 2023 after 6:00 PM and anytime prior to the funeral services.
