Ressie Carty Winters age 86 of Mansfield, Ohio formerly of Magoffin County, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020. She was born March 14, 1934 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Wilbur and Eliza Montgomery Carty. Ressie is survived by two children, Wilbur (Susan) Dyer of Horton, Michigan and Karen Osborne of Mansfield, Ohio. Nine grandchildren, Nicholas (Kelly) Dyer, Michael (Collyn) Dyer, Daniel (Megan) Dyer, Jarod (Esther) Osborne and Nicole (Greg) Pollauf, Kristian (Steven), Brooke, Joshua and Jacob, 15 great grandchildren, Vivian, Frances, Davis, Maryn, Louise, Baby Boy Dyer arriving December 25th, Michael, Lily, Liam, Dylanie, Braelynn, Charlotte, Gracie, Michael and Joey.
Besides her parents Ressie is preceded in death by one son Vernon Dyer, Jr. and an infant at birth. Eleven siblings Chester Carty, Jim Carty, Tressie Charles, America Russell, Beulah Price, Silas Carty, Richard Carty, Lester Carty, Jane Dunn, Buddy Wayne Carty and Francis Carty.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday, November 14, 2020 from the Silas Carty Cemetery at Stinson, Kentucky. Family and friends may gather at the cemetery any time prior to services Saturday.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing will be required.
