Shirley Ann Rice Blanton age 79 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 at her home. She was born October 20, 1943 in Gifford, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Goldie Harper Rice.
Survived by three sons, Warren (Helen) Blanton of Salyersville, Kentucky, Travis (Lolita) Blanton of Springfield, Kentucky, Terrence (Kelli) Blanton of Salyersville, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, Samantha Blanton, Brandy Risner, Haley Reed, Charity Blanton, Hope Blanton, Colten Blanton, Caden Blanton, Makenzie Blanton, and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by four brothers, Johnnie Rice, Jack Rice, William Rice, Bobby Rice, six sisters, Maxine Bailey, Nellavene Willis, Mary Margaret Dalton, Evelyn Becker, Betty Music, and Lena Farrell.
Shirley was a faithful member of the Salyersville First Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 04, 2023 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Ben Martin officiating. Burial followed in the Rice Cemetery at Gifford, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
