SALYERSVILLE – Magoffin County sophomore Presley Smith is among the top softball players in the 15th Region.
Smith is listed fifth in the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association 15th Region Top 5 Players list, which was released in late-February.
Among the state’s best high school softball players in the Class of 2023, Smith is poised to lead Magoffin County on the diamond during the upcoming campaign. The Magoffin County sophomore thrived throughout the offseason.
Kensley Feltner (Lawrence County), Lilly Napier (Shelby Valley), Chloe VanHoose (Johnson Central) and Emily Ford (Pikeville) accompany Feltner in the region player rankings.
Freshman Jaden Williams, another Magoffin County student-athlete, received votes for the top region players list.
Magoffin County is scheduled to host 15th Region counterpart Shelby Valley for a season opener on Monday, March 29.
