LONDON — Magoffin County student-athlete Bella Trusty (East Juniors) received the Mark O’Brien Spirit of Competition Award during the East-West All-Star Series, which was held on Saturday, June 20.
The additional recipients of the Mark O’Brien Spirit of Competition Award were Alyssa Cartwright (West Juniors), Adelyn Bradstreet (West Juniors) and Josie Dials (East Seniors).
Trusty was a standout Magoffin County in the 2026 high school softball season, batting .349 with 22 hits, 14 RBIs, two doubles and eight walks. The Magoffin County junior scored 14 runs and recorded 14 stolen bases.
The additional East Junior All-Stars were Lilliana Hill (George Rogers Clark), Arabella Guinn (George Rogers Clark), Adrienn Arcure (Bryan Station), Lily Kate Dugger (East Jessamine), Brookelyn Duckwyler (Ashland), Chloe Bays (Corbin), Kayla Ortiz (Conner), Emmie Rice (South Laurel), Kenzie Williams (South Laurel), Skye Lawson (South Laurel), Kylie Dalton (Southwestern), Shelby Arnett (Johnson Central), Catharine Walters (Pikeville), Kaitlyn West (Wayne County), Bray Eddington (Hazard) and Kynslie Crabtree (Pulaski County).
The coaches for the East Junior All-Stars were Chris Edwards (North Laurel), Todd Montgomery (East Jessamine) and Carly Mink (South Laurel).
The Kentucky Softball Coaches Association hosts the East-West All-Star event annually.
