57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament to tip off Feb. 26

INEZ — The 2024 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament will tip off at Martin County High School on Monday. Feb. 26.

Martin County High School will host the entire 2024 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament.

Johnson Central is the number one seed for 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament after compiling a 5-1 record during the regular season.

Along with Johnson Central, Martin County compiled a 5-1 record during the regular season and is the number two seed for the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament.

Johnson Central and Martin County split their two 57th District games during the regular season.

After finishing 2-4 following a pair of wins over Magoffin County, Paintsville is the number three seed for the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament.

Magoffin County is the number four seed for the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament after finishing 0-6.
Johnson Central and Magoffin County are slated to meet in the opening game of the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26.

In the nightcap of the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, Martin County is pitted against Paintsville.

The winners from the Johnson Central/Magoffin County and Martin County/Paintsville matchups will advance to the 57th District Girls’ Basketball Tournament title game on Wednesday, Feb. 28.

Martin County is the reigning 57th District girls’ basketball champion.
