Amelia Sharon King Cole

Amelia Sharon King Cole age 70 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Baptist Health Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky. She was born June 15, 1954 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late James Monroe and Betty Lou Blankenship King.

Survived by her husband, Melvin Cole, one son, Bryan Edward (Jacqueline) Cole of Madison, Alabama, one daughter, Melanie (Russell Shawn) Williams of Key West, Florida, two brothers, Calvin Arson (Betty) King of Lexington, Kentucky, Ralph Ian (Becky) King of Pikeville, Kentucky, one sister, Veda Lou (Doug) McIntire of Texas, one sister-in-law, Peggy King of Pikeville, Kentucky, two grandsons, Quinten O’Brian Cole, Ian Curtis Cole, one granddaughter, Lileigh Grace Cole, with a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends, who will all miss her.

In addition to her parents, Amelia is preceded in death by one son, Jason Curtis Cole, two brothers, James Nathan King, and Kelvin Carson King.

Amelia was baptized at the Red Creek Church of God as a young woman. The light of the Lord shown in the life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 07, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Glen Slone officiating. Burial followed in the Cole Cemetery at Gun Creek, Kentucky.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
