Betsy Holbrook Howard age 73 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Paintsville ARH in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born February 17, 1949 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Kansas and Laura Risner Holbrook.
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Carol Barnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Kenneth “Bo” Holbrook of Salyersville, Kentucky, four sisters, Lois Magnus, Phoebe Adams, Edna Thatcher, Dora Amyx all of Salyersville, Kentucky, two grandsons, Brian (Yrie) Barnett of Chesterland, Ohio, Zachary (Audreanna) Barnett of Clay City, Kentucky, six great grandchildren, Adalie Caroline Barnett, Oaklynd Zachary Barnett, Genevieve “Gigi” Barnett, Holden Barnett, Aldous Wesley Barnett, and Alaina Claire Barnett.
In addition to her parents, Betsy is preceded in death by her husband, Byron Richmond “Dick” Howard, one grandson, Seth Alexander Barnett, one brother, Oscar Holbrook, and one sister Mary Sue Holbrook.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, May 13, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Floyd Arnett officiating. Burial will follow in the Earl May Cemetery, Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
