Don Wendall Russell age 88 of Gaines Howard Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, May 05, 2022 at his home. He was born January 18, 1934 in Yellowbud, Ohio to the late Clarence and Martha Kerns Russell.
Survived by his wife, Betty Rose Howard Russell, one son, Jerry Ray (Kimberly) Russell of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Donna Jean (Ronald) Francis of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter-in-law, Marie Shamona Lemaster Russell of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Gordon Russell of Kingston, Ohio, six grandchildren, Crystal King, Will Bingham, Tari Russell, Brian Russell, Wendell Chase Russell, Jeremy Russell, six great grandchildren, Matthew King, Ella Rose King, Raylynn Daniels, Bryson Russell, Owen Russell, and Lucas Jayson Russell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sons, Paul Wendall Russell, Howard Adrian Russell, five brothers, Clarence Russell, George Russell, Francis Russell, Ray Russell, Dale Russell, six sisters, Betty Jean Shaw, Josie Shaw, Elimira Britton, Dolly Frego, Peggy Litter, and Barbara Helsel.
Don was a dedicated United States Army Veteran and served his country proudly.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 08, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Lemaster and Larry Patrick officiating. Burial followed in the Ben Howard Cemetery at Helton Branch, Salyersville, Kentucky.
Military rites will be given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of service.
