Last week the Paintsville and Louisa DaVita Dialysis Centers delivered a donation of $1,000 to the Water into Wine Food Bank in Salyersville.
Tonja Helton, with DaVita Dialysis, told the Independent, “It’s so amazing to work for a company that gives back to the community we serve.”
Water Into Wine Food Pantry, based out of the Lakefront Church of God in the former Middle Fork Elementary School on Route 30, hands out more than 900 food boxes every month.
People needing help can call the pantry at 606-349-6301 for open enrollment, go on the Lakefront Church of God’s smartphone app, or go to their website at https://waterintowinefoodpantry.weebly.com/about.html.
If eligible (at or below 130% poverty income guidelines), families will get one box per month.
