LEXINGTON — The Magoffin County football team attended the Kentucky-Murray State game at Kroger Field on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Kentucky pulled away to defeat Murray State 48-6. The Wildcats scored a season-high 48 points.

Defensively, Kentucky held Murray State to 259 total yards. It was the sixth time Kentucky has held an opponent to under 300 yards in the 2024 college football season.

Following the win, Kentucky improved to 4-6. The Wildcats have games remaining versus Texas and Louisville.

After the game, Magoffin County players and coaches ate a meal at Outback Steakhouse.

Magoffin County football boosters made the trip to the Kentucky-Murray State game possible for the Hornets, who are already preparing for the 2025 high school football season. The Magoffin County football team will begin its afterschool program in January.
