Lillian Tackett Howard, age 78, a resident of Stanton, Kentucky, formally of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021 at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Lillian was born May 11, 1943 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Grimzie and Gladys Hunley Tackett. Husband of fifty-eight years, Cleatis Howard, brother, Troy Tackett, sister, Loraine Cheek, sister in law, India Peterson, also preceded in death.
She was a excellent cook, loved flowers and gardening, member of Powell’s Valley Baptist Church, sang in the choir and a witness for Jesus. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to mourn includes son, Anthony Howard and wife Cindy of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, daughter, Charlotte Howard Pearson and husband Arnold of Winchester, Kentucky, sister, Pat Gullett of Salyersville, Kentucky, grandchildren, India Pearson, Savannah Sarno, Brandon Howard, Casey Howard, Jesse Howard, Nicholas Howard, Matt Conley, Tabitha Howard, great grandchildren, Lance and Dalton Howard, Hadleigh and Anthony Howard, Bentley Howard, Heidi and Luke Sarno, Jonah Howard, special sister-in-law, Maureen Tackett, her life long friend, Garnett Sue Tackett Gullett, and a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral Services for Lillian Howard were conducted Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Gary Willoughby delivered comforting words on the day of the service. Interment followed in the Grimzie Tackett Family Cemetery on Twin Lick in Salyersville, Kentucky.
