Magoffin County shuts out East Ridge 12-0

SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County blanked East Ridge 12-0 in five innings on Thursday, May 2.

Continuing to show improvement, Magoffin County notched its seventh win in nine games.

Jaden Williams pitched a four-hit shutout for Magoffin County and claimed the win in the circle. Williams recorded seven strikeouts.

Savannah Baldridge pitched for East Ridge and suffered the loss.

Magoffin County scored 12 runs on 14 hits. Williams (two hits), Abby Barnett (three hits, three RBIs), Bella Trusty (three hits, one RBI), Kiley Lemaster (two hits, two RBIs), Jayda Miller (two hits, one RBI), Daylin Patrick (one hit, one RBI), Kayleigh Lemaster (one hit, one RBI) and Laney Bledsoe (one RBI) each excelled offensively for the Lady Hornets. Kiley Lemaster doubled twice for Magoffin County in its win.

Breonna Tackett (two hits), Gabriella Damron (one hit) and Victoria Ramey (one hit) accounted for East Ridge’s offense during the matchup.

Following the win, Magoffin County improved to 7-8.
