PIKEVILLE — The Magoffin County High School and Herald Whitaker Middle School archery teams each finished second at the Region 13 Tournament in Pikeville on Saturday, Feb. 12.
Individually in the boys’ high school division, Blake Collinsworth placed sixth to lead the Hornets.
Accompanying Collinsworth in the Top 10 of the boys’ high school division for Magoffin County, Chance Gipson placed eighth.
Magoffin County featured three archers in the Top 10 of the girls’ high school division.
Maryanne Wheatley paced Magoffin County in the girls’ high school division, placing 10th.
Katie Miller and Samantha Wheatley followed for Magoffin County in the girls’ high school division, placing 13th and 15th, respectively.

Jagger White led Herald Whitaker, placing eighth in the boys’ middle school division.
Chloe Skaggs was the top female finisher for Herald Whitaker, placing 10th in the girls’ middle school division.
Following Skaggs, Brookelynn Keaton (11th), Brittney Carty (13th) and Emily Brown (14th) each recorded a Top 15 finish for Herald Whitaker in the girls’ middle school division.
