Orville Gene Risner age 89 of Salyersville, passed away on Saturday August 6, 2022 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Ky. He was born March 06, 1933 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Jack and Hazel Back Risner.
Survived by his wife, Geraldine Prater Risner, two sons, Donnie Risner, Ed (Laura) Risner both of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister, Sophie Gano of Michigan, seven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Orville Gene is preceded in death by one son, Jackie Risner, one brother, Ernest Risner, and one granddaughter, Chrystal Risner.
He was a heavy equipment operator by trade and a dedicated member of the Burgett Community Church.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, August 09, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne Meade, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Back Cemetery at Far Middle Fork, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
