Standifer signs with UCU

SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County High School senior Brayden Standifer made his college choice official at the start of the week, signing with the Union Commonweath University football program during a ceremony held at MCHS on Monday, March 3.

The MCHS senior owned multiple offers and chose Union Commonwealth University.

Standifer was a leader for the Hornets throughout his senior campaign, recording a team-high 83 tackles, nine tackles for losses, two sacks and one interception during the 2024 high school football season. As a senior, Standifer led Magoffin County in tackles, tackles for losses and sacks.

Offensively, Standifer contributed as both a rusher and a receiver. On the ground, Standifer rushed six times for 54 yards and one touchdown.

Through the air, Standifer hauled in eight receptions for 50 yards.

Standifer will graduate from MCHS in the spring.
