SALYERSVILLE – Police are looking for information about a woman who reportedly walked up to a local bank’s drive thru and posed as someone else.
At approximately 2 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, a woman walked up to the drive thru window at the Salyersville National Bank’s branch bank on Parkway Drive and gave a name and the last four numbers of a social security number of another person, according to the police report.
When SNB employees immediately realized she was not the person she named, they started asking the woman more questions, to which she reportedly replied “I’ll let my husband take care of it,” and walked away.
Police were able to obtain photos of the woman from the bank’s surveillance footage, but at press time her identity is unknown.
Anyone with knowledge regarding the woman in the photos is asked to call the Magoffin County Sheriff Department at 606-349-2914.
