SALYERSVILLE – The Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest after an investigation into a stolen debit or credit card.
On Thursday, February 19, the Magoffin County Sheriff Department arrested Kayla Jo Fletcher, 33, of Salyersville, in the Bloomington Loop area, after an investigation that started with a complaint made in October 2025 regarding a stolen debit or credit card.
According to the complaint, the person who reported the incident claimed to be a victim of theft from October through January of this year after allowing Fletcher to use his debit card to withdraw from an ATV the agreed amount of $50 and return the card, but after numerous attempts to get the card back with no success, over the alleged time period $1,136 had been withdrawn from his account.
Fletcher was arrested and charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, between $1,000 and $10,000 and theft or receipt of a stolen credit or debit card. She was lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, where she has since been released on bond, pending future court dates.
Fletcher is scheduled to be arraigned on March 2 at 9 a.m. at the Magoffin County Justice Center.
