Dean Collinsworth Adams age 96 of Grape Creek Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at the Mountain Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. She was born December 02, 1929 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Taylor and Florence Collinsworth.
Survived by one son, Stephen K. and his wife, Matilda “Til” D. Adams of Lexington, Kentucky, with a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Dean is preceded in death by her husband, Joe “Red” Adams, three brothers, Clyde Collinsworth, Willard Collinsworth, and William “Bill” Collinsworth, three sisters, Ruth Harper, Anna Mae Coffee, and Wanda Lee Gipson.
Dean was a dedicated Christian and a member of the Church of God, and attended church as log as her health permitted. She was a good neighbor and was quick to lend a helping hand when someone was in need.
She was a homemaker and worked many hours on her farm. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed working in her garden, Dean always stayed busy, making sure her family was well taken care of. She was a wonderful wife, mother, family, and friend, she will be sadly missed by so many.
Funeral services for Dean were conducted Saturday, August 01, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Floyd Arnett and Darrell Mullins officiating. Burial followed in the Collinsworth Cemetery at White Oak, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
