Julian Henry Patrick

Julian Henry Patrick, 80, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026.

Born on October 2, 1945, in Paintsville, Kentucky, Julian was the son of the late Henry Clay and Louise Patrick. He lived a life centered on family, simple joys, and the traditions he loved most.

Julian was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his son, Greg (Mary) Patrick; his daughter, Melissa Gallimore; his beloved grandchildren, Isaiah (Melissa) Gallimore, Jackson Patrick, Simon Patrick, and Cadence Patrick; and his treasured great-granddaughter, Ivory Gallimore. He is also survived by his brothers, David (Valerie) Patrick and Everett (Sondy) Patrick, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Julian found his greatest happiness in spending time outdoors with a fishing pole in hand or lost in a science fiction novel at the Nicholasville library, and he rarely missed a chance to cheer on the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. Whether enjoying a quiet day on the water, lounging with a new book or watching the Cats play, he appreciated life’s simple pleasures and the time spent with those he loved.

Those who knew Julian will remember his quiet strength, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the traditions he passed down, and the love he gave so freely.

A celebration of Julian’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Prater Methodist Church in Salyersville. Family and friends are invited to gather at 12:00pm in remembrance of a life well lived and to celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Prater Methodist Church.

Julian will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
