Jewell King, age 88, a resident of Royalton Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Salyersville Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Mrs. King was a devoted Christian and attended Salyersville Freewill Baptist Church.
Jewell was born July 15, 1933 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Leeander and Edna Ray Bailey. Jewell was preceded in death by her husband Luchin E. King whom she was married to for sixty-eight years. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ellis Bailey, Arby Bailey, William Glendal Bailey, five sisters, Ethel Mae Higgins, Eloise Cabel, Maxine Davis, Vonda Davis, Sylvia Jean Mullins and one great-granddaughter, Heather Nicole Finch.
Those left to mourn includes one son, Harold King and wife Patricia Marie Schmidt of Salyersville, Kentucky, three granddaughters, January and husband Jimmy Finch of Greenbrier, Tennessee, Crystal and husband Paul Bayes of Salyersville, Nikki and husband Craig Hart of Huntington, W.Va, One great- granddaughter Madison Finch and three step great-granddaughter Gabby and husband Josh Brown, Carrie Coleman, and Rebecca Horne, along with a host of other family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Jewell King were conducted Saturday, October 30, 2021 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Floyd Arnett delivered comforting words on the day of service. Interment followed in the Burton Fork Cemetery on Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky.
