Pastor Herlis Ray Cole age 90 of Middle Fork Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, July 06, 2024 at his home surrounded by his wife and children. He was born November 16, 1933 at Tip Top, Kentucky to the late Silas and Maggie King Cole.
Survivors include his wife of seventy-two years, Madeline White Cole, three sons, Harold “Sonny” Cole of Paintsville, Kentucky, Richard (Emma) Cole, David (Cathy) Cole both of Salyersville, Kentucky, five daughters, Vonda (Bill) Reed of Camargo, Kentucky, Kathy Arnett, Sharon Reed, Mary Ann (Doug) Salyer, Jennifer (Tomas) Howard all of Salyersville, Kentucky, three sisters, Judy Farris, Wanda Bailey both of Salyersville, Kentucky, and Shirell Little of Jackson, Kentucky. He leaves behind twenty-one grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and one expected any day.
In addition to his parents, Pastor Herlis is preceded in death by seven brothers, Harold, Phillip, Paul, Garland, Gerald, Burl, Silas Jr., five sisters, Mable, Brenda, Fannie, twin babies, May and June, special granddaughter, Michelle Ann Branham, and great grandbaby, Jerrica Arnett.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from the Keith Memorial Tabernacle Church with Neil Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the Cole Family Cemetery at Middle Fork, Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
