Billy W. Hackworth age 93 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 08, 2026 at his home. Billy was born; March 21, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Okria and Cynthia Spradlin Hackworth.
Survivors include one daughter; Kaci (Kevin) Ousley of Camden, South Carolina, one son; Allan Krathwohl of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Jack Hackworth of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, two sisters; Mandy Oliphant and Betty Tucker both of Bryan, Ohio, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren, his companion of several years; Sandy Binder, Matt Binder and Crystal Binder who were like his children and his dog that was loved so much “Baby”.
In addition to his parents Billy is preceded in death by one daughter; Cynthia Downs, three brothers; James Hackworth, Delmar Hackworth and Kurt Hackworth, three sisters; Mandy Raub, Sylvia (Silver) Thompkins and Grace Minix.
Funeral services for Billy W. Hackworth will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Puckett and Cherokee Gipson. Burial will follow in the Watkins Cemetery, Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Magoffin County Funeral Home Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and anytime Friday prior to funeral services.
