FAR MIDDLE FORK – A Magoffin County man remains in critical condition after being shot last week.
On Wednesday, July 5, a 911 call came into Magoffin County Dispatch reporting two people had been shot on Far Middle Fork.
One victim, whose name has not been released by officials, had been shot in the face and at last report is still in critical condition in a West Virginia hospital.
Another victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Magoffin County Deputy Coroner Brian Parker.
Kentucky State Police Post 9, who is leading the investigation into the incident, told the Independent there will be no charges filed regarding the shooting.
