SALYERSVILLE – Two more Magoffin County Grand Jury indictments were released this week after the defendants were served in the cases:
Destiny P. Reynolds, 24, of Wellington, Ky, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, methamphetamine (Class D felony); tampering with physical evidence (Class D felony); second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance less than 10 dosage units of a drug unspecified, first offense (Class D felony); possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor); failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle (Class A misdemeanor); failure of owner to maintain required insurance, first offense (Class B misdemeanor); and no operator’s moped license (Class B misdemeanor). According to the indictment, on or about June 13, 2025, Reynolds allegedly possessed quantities of methamphetamine, attempted to alter or conceal physical evidence to impair its verity in official proceedings, possessed a quantity of a Schedule I or Schedule II non-narcotic drug with the intent to distribute, and possessed drug paraphernalia, in addition to the other traffic-related charges.
Joshua L. Pemberton, 44, of Lexington, is charged with one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine), a Class C felony. According to the indictment, on or about April 8, 2023, Pemberton allegedly manufactured, distributed, dispensed, sold, transferred, or possessed with the intent to manufacture, distribute or sell a quantity of methamphetamine.
Both indictments had been handed down on September 4, 2025, by a Magoffin County grand jury. Indictments are only released to the public after the defendants have been served.
