SALYERSVILLE — The pairings are set for the annual Berea Holiday Classic.
Magoffin County will be among the boys’ high school basketball teams competing in the Berea Holiday Classic at Madison Southern Friday, Dec. 19-Sunday, Dec. 21.
Teams from various regions will compete in the Berea Holiday Classic.
The Hornets are matched up against reigning 5th Region champion Adair County in the opening round of the Berea Holiday Classic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19. Adair County won 30 games during the 2024-25 boys’ high school basketball season. The Indians exited the 2024-25 boys’ high school basketball season 30-4.
Magoffin County is slated to meet Central in the second round of the Berea Holiday Classic on at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20. Central, a team out of Louisville, finished 8-21 in the 2024-25 boys’ high school basketball season.
Magoffin County is due to meet Boyle County in the final round of the Berea Holiday Classic at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21.
Boyle County put together a 14-10 record in the 2024-25 boys’ high school basketball season.
Magoffin County compiled a 7-22 record in the 2024-25 boys’ high school basketball season, the following campaign after capturing its first 15th Region title.
The Hornets opened preseason practice in October. Magoffin County will visit Phelps for its opening game in the 2025-26 boys’ high school basketball season on Monday, Dec. 1
