SALYERSVILLE — Following the conclusion of the KHSAA Dead Period and after making its return to the gridiron, Magoffin County will compete in multiple 7 on 7 passing sessions.
Magoffin County is scheduled to visit former state champion Breathitt County for a 7 on 7 passing session on Tuesday, July 16.
Then, one week later on Tuesday, July 23, Magoffin County is slated to host a 7 on 7 passing session.
During the 7 on 7 passing sessions, offensive linemen/defensive lineman will participate in big man challenge events.
Each 7 on 7 passing session is slated to start at 6 p.m.
Magoffin County, under the direction of Coach John DeRossett, remained active throughout the offseason. The KHSAA Dead Period started on Tuesday, June 25 and is slated to conclude on Tuesday, July 9.
The Hornets will start preseason practice at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 15.
Magoffin County is scheduled to visit Montgomery County for its season opener on Saturday, Aug. 24. For the second straight year, Magoffin County and Montgomery County will meet in the tradition-rich Recreation Bowl.
