Bill Henry Poe age 84 of Blaze Branch Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at the Greg and Noreen Well Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born July 17, 1939 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Ned and Mary Ellen Hughes Poe.
Survivors include his wife Christene Salyer Poe, two daughters, Regina Marie (Brandon) Goodman of Pikeville, Kentucky, Sandy Kay Poe of Salyersville, Kentucky, five brothers, Leonard Poe, Charles (Vickie) Poe, Johnny Bruce “Bud” Mary Ellen) Poe, Isaac “Ike” Poe, Pete Poe all of Floyd County, Kentucky, two sisters, Pauline Ousley of Indiana, Dorothy Smith of Michigan, three grandchildren, Benjamin Henry Miller, Asher Goodman, and Ezra Goodman.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by one brother, Joe Poe, and one sister, Goldie Ann Shepherd.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 23, 2023 from the Salyersville Church of Christ with Ronald Thatcher officiating. Burial followed in the Fletcher Cemetery at Gun Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
