Bob Reed, age 79, a resident of Laurel Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at his home.
Bob was born January 15, 1942 in Salyersville, Kentucky the son of the late Arna and Delphia Adams Reed. Daughter, Angela Reed, sister, Arnetta Reed, and brothers, Louie Reed, Don Reed, nephews, Robbie Reed, Tommy Campbell, niece, Donna Reed Risner, also preceded in death.
Bob was a superintendent in the coal industry until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was also a member of the Kernie Freewill Baptist Church on Johnson Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Those left to mourn includes wife, Mary Dianna Harvey Reed, sons, Greg Reed and wife Shellie of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Steve Reed and wife Sharon of Salyersville, Kentucky, Matthew Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter, Camille Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, brothers, George Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, Rondall Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, Mike Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, Arbadella Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Bob Reed will be conducted Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Otto “Butch” Whitaker, Arbadella Reed, and Larry Patrick will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Reed Family Cemetery on Laurel Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends all day Thursday, and anytime prior to funeral services.
