Burl Holland age 81 of Salyersville, Ky., passed away on Tuesday evening September 7, 2021, at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Ky. He was born July 26, 1940, in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Nettie Holbrook Holland.
Survived by his wife Christine Hale Holland, three sons, Larry Neil Holland, Burl Jason Holland, Jeremiah John Holland all of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters, JoAnn Slusher, Ruby Jean Holland of Louisville, Kentucky, Amanda Blackburn, of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister Doris Mae Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Burl is preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Lou Minix, three brothers, James Orville Holland, Johnny B. Holland, Jackie Holland, three sisters, Martha Fay Adams, Bertie Cole, and Eliza Helen Perkins.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 12, 2021, from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Puckett and Randy Haney officiating. Burial followed in the Holland’s Family Cemetery, Jim Arnett Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky.
