Cleda Stephens Salyer Jayne Russell age 70 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born March 14, 1952 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Jim and Lola King Stephens.
Survived by her husband, Ronnie Russell, one daughter, Latoyna Salyer Swiger of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sons, John Russell, Jr. and Benita Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, Joe Jayne of Paintsville, Kentucky, one brother, Stelson Stephens of Winchester, Kentucky, two sisters, Barbara Casebolt of Salyersville, Kentucky, Shirley Howard of Winchester, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Tyler and Paige Swiger, Scott Swiger, Erica Jayne, Ryley Jayne, Ryan Jayne, and two great grandchildren, Brayden Swiger, and Kendra Swiger.
In addition to her parents, Cleda is preceded in death by her first husband, John Russell Salyer, and one son-in-law, Fredrick Scott Swiger.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 23, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Dean Kilgore and Brian Howard officiating. Burial followed in the Patrick-Minix Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
