David Detling, age 69, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026, at ARH Paintsville in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Born April 13,1957 in Long Island, New York the son of the late Chalmer and Virginia Rai Detling. Son, John Vail and sister, Ellen Detling, also preceded in death.
Those left to mourn includes, wife Sandra Vail Detling of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter Lisa Perkins of Salyersville, Kentucky, sons, David Benjamin Detling Jr, of New York, James Caldwell of Orlando, Florida, sister, Virginia Coleman, brothers, Chuck Detling of Alabama, and Robert Detling of Tennessee, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
A memorial service celebrating the life of David Detling will be announced at a later date.
