BLOOMINGTON – Still little has been released regarding an ongoing death investigation in Magoffin County.
Officials have now confirmed that the body found last Tuesday in the roadway in the Bloomington area was Marcus Anthony Castle, 51, of Salyersville.
Magoffin County Coroner Mark Jenkins told the Independent they are still waiting on the toxicology results and official autopsy report, but preliminary findings from the autopsy have ruled out any type of injury that would indicate assault, a shooting or any other external injuries that would generally suggest foul play.
The case remains open, with KSP Detective Tackett leading the investigation.
At press time, Kentucky State Police has not released any information regarding the investigation
