Edsel Ford Carty age 86 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Paintsville ARH Hospital in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born January 13, 1936 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Hobert and Elsie Howard Carty.
Survived by his wife, Gladys Collinsworth Carty, two sons, Edsel Ray (Melissa) Carty of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Lawrence Jason (Melinda) Carty of West Liberty, Kentucky, one daughter, Virginia (Tommy) Patrick of Salyersville, Kentucky, four brothers, Herbert Carty of Salyersville, Kentucky, Aaron Carty of Indianan, Walter Carty, Royal Carty both of Salyersville, Kentucky, three sisters, Betty Lou Whitaker, Phyllis Ann Whitaker,, Barbara Sue Dingus all of Salyersville, Kentucky, eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Edsel Ford is preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert Carty and John Carty.
Funeral serveries were conducted Wednesday, May 04, 2022 at the Salyersville First Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Carty Cemetery at Stinson, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
