EAST POINT – A former Magoffin County man died as a result of a single vehicle motorcycle accident in Johnson County over the weekend.
Kentucky State Police Post 9 responded to the wreck, called in just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the intersection of US 23 and Skate Road in the East Point area of Johnson County.
According to officials, the 2007 Harley Davidson travelling southbound on US 23 left the roadway to the right for unknown reasons, striking a guardrail and ejecting the rider, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Roy Alsept, 46, of Prestonsburg, but formerly from Magoffin County, was pronounced deceased on the scene by Johnson County Coroner J.R. Frisby.
