PRESTONSBURG – A Floyd County man died as a result of a two-vehicle collision on KY Rt. 114 on Monday night.

Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post reported that they were notified of the fatal wreck in Floyd County just before 10 p.m. on June 19, with the collision occurring on KY Rt. 114 between Salyersville and Prestonsburg.

According to KSP, upon arrival and through investigation, troopers discovered 25-year-old Randal Ousley of Prestonsburg was operating a 2003 Ford Ranger when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a 2005 Chrysler van, operated by 69-year-old Glenn Tuttle of Garrett. Tuttle was pronounced deceased on scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing by KSP Accident Reconstructionist, Detective Joshua Scott.

Detective Scott was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel. Magoffin County Rescue Squad aided in closing Rt. 114 starting at the turnoff for U.S. 460 East, with Rt. 114 staying close for over four hours.

The Middle Creek Volunteer Fire Department posted Tuesday on Facebook, asking for prayers for Leland Ousley, who is a volunteer firefighter with the department: “We come to you today, humbly asking for prayers for one of our own. Please keep Middle Creek Firefighter, Leland Ousley, his family and our fire family in your thoughts and prayers. Leland was involved a vehicle accident last night on his way home, after leaving the fire department for a training class. Please pray for strength, healing and comfort.”
