Genivee “Blue” King Salyer age 76 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at her home. She was born April 13, 1945 in Staffordsville, Kentucky to the late Samuel King and the late Rosettea Crotene Kimbler.
Survived by her husband, Thomas Adward Salyer, three sons, Phillip Anthony Salyer of Lexington, Kentucky, Jamie Thomas Salyer of Falcon, Kentucky, Scotty Ray (Misty) Salyer of Falcon, Kentucky, one daughter, Patricia Ann (Roy) Rice of Falcon, Kentucky, three sisters, Phyllis King Burchett, Rose Ward, Brenda Salyer, one stepbrother, Ocheal Kimbler. five granddaughters, Cassie (Tyler) Bentley of Salyersville, Kentucky, Brianna (Jeff) Allen of Salyersville, Kentucky, Brooklyn (Zack) Sellards of Elk Creek, Kentucky, Audrey Rice with Jacob Caudill of Falcon, Kentucky, Haley Rosettea (Dalton) Salyer of Oakley, Kentucky and one great grandson, Jeffery Allen.
In addition to her parents, Genivee “Blue” is preceded in death by one brother, Edmond King and one grandson, Billy Ray Rice.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 25, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Demmie Marshall and Vince Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Salyer Cemetery at Flat Fork, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M. and any time prior to funeral services.
