Grand jury releases indictments

SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County grand jury released the following indictments on August 18, 2022:

Clarence W. Gipson, 49, of Patrick Drive, in Salyersville, is charged with one count of second-degree burglary (a Class C felony). According to the indictment, on or about April 10 through 20, 2022, Gipson allegedly, with the intent to commit a crime, knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a dwelling owned by Belsey’s Enterprises, Inc.

Brandon Blair, 38, of Prestonsburg, is charged with first-degree robbery (a Class B felony). According to the indictment, on or about November 24, 2021, Blair allegedly used or threatened the immediate use of physical force on employees of the Royalton Dollar General while committing theft, with the intent to accomplish the theft and while armed with a deadly weapon.

Michael W. Slone, 33, of Hess Drive, in Salyersville, is charged with second-degree burglary (A Class C felony). According to the indictment, on or about April 10 through 20, 2022, Slone allegedly, with the intent to commit a crime, knowingly entered or remained unlawfully in a dwelling owned by Belsey’s Enterprises, Inc.
Warrants of arrest were issued for all three defendants indicted last week.
