At a home in the Guncreek area near the mouth of Fletcher Hollow, Tuesday night just before midnight Donna Bailey reported opened the bathroom door after taking a shower to find her home filled with smoke, District 3 Fire Department Chief Tanner Stephens told Mortimer Media Group.
Bailey was able to throw on some clothes and run out the home, grabbing her keys so she could move her car away from the fire.
Fire crews were able to get a few miscellaneous items out of the garage, but the home was completely engulfed when they arrived and the come was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but believed to be electrical.
