Herbert Holbrook Jr., “Junior” age 80 of Falcon Road, Salyersville, Kentucky, beloved husband of Patty Conley Holbrook, passed away on Saturday evening May 8, 2021 at his home. He was born June 05, 1940 at Middle Fork, Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Herbert and Mable Risner Holbrook.
In addition to his wife Junior is survived by one son, Franklin Ray Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Tammy (Tony) Salyer of Salt Lick, Kentucky, five grandchildren, Brandon Salyer, Brittany (Josh) Keeton, Taneika (Jeff) Adams, John (Megan) Holbrook, Brain Marshall, five great grandchildren, Reagan Keeton, Alexis Adams, Ryleigh Adams, Madeline Keeton and Brooklyn Holbrook.
In addition to his parents, Herbert is preceded in death by one son, Johnny B. Holbrook, three brothers, J.B. Holbrook, Roy Holbrook and Joe Holbrook, two sisters, Jewel Fronto and Normalee Collinsworth.
Herbert was a United States Army Veteran. Member of the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 and a dedicated member of the State Road Fork United Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 13, 2021 from the State Road Fork United Baptist Church with John Blanton, Freddie Salyer, and J.R. Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in the Conley Cemetery at Salyersville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the State Road Fork United Baptist Church any time prior to funeral services on Thursday.
Military Rites will be given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of service.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
