James E. “Jigg” Meade age 72 of Flat Gap, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Paintsville ARH in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born November 21, 1949 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Dan and Pearl Bolen Meade.
Survived by his wife Elizabeth “Peanut” Cantrell Meade, two sons, Dannie (Marsha) Meade of Flat Gap, Kentucky, Jamie (Patty) Meade of Oil Springs, Kentucky, one daughter, Renee (Fred) Caudill of Sitka, Kentucky, three brothers, Luddie Meade, Marvin Meade, Willie Meade all of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Mandy Butcher, Shirley Bailey both of Salyersville, Kentucky, seven grandchildren, Zachary Caudill, Daniel Meade, Josh Caudill, Jordyn Crider, Tate Meade, Chase Caudill, Harlie Lemaster, four great grandchildren, Quentin Caudill, Blaklynn Crider, Bradlee Crider, Remington Robinson, and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, James “Jigg” is preceded in death by one brother, Dannie Ray Meade.
James “Jigg” was a heavy equipment operator and a carpenter by trade, and a dedicated member of the Flat Fork Freewill Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 04, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Ford McKenzie officiating. Burial followed in the Johnson County Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
