James Earl Wallen age 70 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, August 02, 2022 at his home. He was born February 09, 1952 in Salyersville, Kentucky, to the late Kernie and Sylvia Hale Wallen.
Survived by his wife, Lisa Spears Wallen, one son, Phillip Wallen of Salyersville, Kentucky two daughters, Teresa (Adam) Minix of Salyersville, Kentucky, Carolyn Sue Bass of Portsmouth, Ohio, son-in-law, Robert Kugel, two brothers, Wilburn (Ethel Fay) Wallen, Kernie (Lisa) Wallen, Jr., both of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Brenda Solomon of Paintsville, Kentucky, Linda Lou (Pernell) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, ten grandchildren, Lynn Kristin Kugel, Ocean Kugel, Erin Kugel, James Kernie Kugel, Amber Nichole Kugel, Anessa Caldwell, Dakota Wallen, Skyler James Howard, A.J. Bass, Alena Gail Bass, with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his first wife, Lena Wallen, one daughter, Lisa Kugel, three brothers, Johnny Wallen, John Shelby Wallen, and David Wallen.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 05, 2022 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Floyd Arnett officiating. Burial followed in the William Flynt Cemetery at Flynt Branch, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
