James Eugene Adams

(September 02, 1935 – February 25, 2021)

James Eugene Adams age 85 of Old Lick Creek Road Salyersville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday evening February 25, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born September 02,1935 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Deed and Crilla Cooper Adams.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Joe (Mary) Adams of Louisville, Kentucky, one daughter, Della Mae (Joe) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Deed Adams, Jr. of Salyersville Kentucky, two sisters, Emogene Whitt of Columbus, Ohio, Justine Adams of Salyersville, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Tyler (Kelcey) Adams, Megan (Courtney) Boggs, Debra Jo (Jeffery) Helton, Adam Neal, four great grandchildren, Logan Cade Neal, Caroline Sue Adams, Hazel Mae Adams, and Eloise Evan Boggs.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Alma Howard Adams, one brother, Edro Adams, and one sister, Wilma Lee Adams.

James was a carpenter by trade, a member of the Carpenters Local 472, and a member of the Flat Fork Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 03, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Williams and Gary Bolen officiating. Burial followed in the Toy and Delphia Howard Cemetery at Lick Creek, Kentucky.

Military Rites were given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of service.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
