James Jasper Owens age 63 of Lick Creek Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at the Paul B. Hall Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born November 11, 1957 at Lick Creek, in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Proctor Junior and Mollie Williams Owens. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Ruth Howard Owens, one son, Joshua James Owens, Salyersville, Kentucky, four brothers, Danny Ray Owens, Timothy Dean Owens, Proctor Owens III, Chester Lee Owens, all of Salyersville, Kentucky, five sisters, LaDonna Faye Bailey, Dorotha Mae Helton, Elizabeth Jane Arrington, Reginia Rehnae Cooper, and Jaqueline Conley, all of Salyersville, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by one brother, Nathan Brian Owens and one sister, Sheila Kay Owens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. January 07, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Justin Williams and J.R. Owens officiating with James Rudd reading of the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Owens Cemetery at Lick Creek, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home Wednesday, January 06, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. till 10:00 P.M. and any time prior till funeral services.
