Janet Sue Conley Smith, age 67, a resident of Pine Point Street in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Kentucky.
Janet was born August 24, 1954 in Rochester, Indiana the daughter of Dorothy Puckett Conley and the late Will Conley. Husband, William “Bill” Smith, Brothers, Bill Conley, Elbie Conley, and Son in Law, David Keith Auxier, also preceded in death.
Janet was a member of the Salyersville Pentecostal Church of Christ in Salyersville, Kentucky. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Sandy Oulette. When you saw one, you saw the other.
Those left to mourn includes son, Mike Nickels and wife Janet of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughters, Robbin Conn and husband Harry of Martin, Kentucky, Debra Auxier of Paintsville, Kentucky, mother, Dorothy Conley of Salyersville, Kentucky, brothers, John Puckett of Salyersville, Kentucky, Rick Conley of Noblesville, Indiana, sisters, Brenda Raines of Salyersville, Kentucky, Wilma Sizemore of Salyersville, Kentucky, best friend, Sandy Oulette of Salyersville, Kentucky, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who love her.
Funeral services for Janet Sue Smith were conducted Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Phillip Puckett and Lloyd Ward delivered comforting words on the day of services. Interment followed in the Earl May Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky.
