Joann Hale Begley age 78 of Salt Lick, Kentucky formerly of Salyersville, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the Menifee Meadows Nursing and Rehab Center in Frenchburg, Kentucky. She was born December 20, 1947 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Corbett “Buster” and Addie Howard Hale.
Survived by her husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Begley, two sons, Darry Ray and his wife, Beth Begley of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Brian and his wife, Melissa Begley of Evans, Georgia, one brother, Phillip Hale of Salyersville, Kentucky, six grandchildren, Jolene Stokely, Andrew Begley, Cole Begley, Dakota Begley, Cheyanne Haney, Brooklynn Begley, four great grandchildren, Izzy Begley, Charlotte Begley, Blake Begley, and Sophia Begley.
In addition to her parents, Joann is preceded in death by one brother, Roger Hale.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 23, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with John Blanton officiating. Burial followed in the Hale Cemetery at Borders Road in Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
