JR. PROS ROCK SHOW THIS WEEKEND

PRESTONSBURG – Two Magoffin County teens will be performing in Billie Jean Osborne’s Kentucky Opry Jr. Pros Rock Show this weekend.

On Saturday, April 15, at 7 p.m., Erin Grace Rudd and Sophie McFarlan, both from Magoffin County, will be among the Jr. Pros members performing on the Mountain Arts Center stage.

The Billie Jean Osborne’s Kentucky Opry Jr. Pros are a group of children, ages 8 to 18, with each student receiving forms of education in musical instruments, vocal training, stage presence, commercial music, and various forms of reading music and charts.

Under the new directors Teddi and Bobby Cyrus, the Jr. Pros open for the Kentucky Opry and produce two headliner shows of their own, with this Saturday’s Rock Show as one of their headliner shows. The Rising Stars, another group of talented kids, will be opening the show for the Jr. Pros.

The group is slated to perform some of rock-n-roll’s greatest hits by some of the most well known performers, such as Bonnie Tyler, AC/DC, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Bon Jovi and more.

Tickets for the event are available at www.macarts.com, by calling 1-888-MAC-ARTS or by stopping by the Peoples Bank Box Office at the Mountain Arts Center.
