Kelly L. Mesnard

Kelly L. Mesnard, age 55 of Clyde, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 surrounded by his family at the Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky. Kelly was born July 18, 1966 in Fremont.

A 1985 graduate of Clyde High School, Kelly married the love of his life, Amy Montgomery, 32 years ago. He was a very loving husband and father of two, Jacquelin and Jamie Mesnard.

While growing up, Kelly grew to love the sport of fishing, especially ice fishing. He only lost two shanties over his lifetime somewhere at the bottom of Lake Erie or the Bay. His love for the outdoors and fishing led him to a job at Custom Canvas & Upholstery in Marblehead where he used his hands working on boat canvases all day for the past 20 years.

When not working, Kelly was an avid sports fan, taking in games of The Ohio State University, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Indians, and Detroit Tigers. If not following his favorite sport teams, he could be found watching The Curse of Oak Island (Amy recently bought him the Garrett at Max metal detector!) or tending to his stocked pond or huge garden.

Additionally, he always looked forward to Thursday nights playing cornhole with his SBCCC friends in the backyard. While his waist line stayed pretty trim, he did love his cheeseburgers, especially Wahlburgers, and enjoyed Pizza House pizza every Friday night.

Kelly is survived by his wife, Amy (Montgomery) Mesnard; daughters: Jamie and Jacquelin Mesnard; mother, Dianna (Ernsberger) Mesnard; and sisters: Jennifer Palicka and Kimberly (Gary) Swartz.

Kelly is preceded in death by his father, Jack Mesnard.

A memorial service was held Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson Hwy, Clyde, OH 43410.

Memorial donations may be made in Kelly’s honor to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
